Patient system-building pays off

Across One For All’s partner areas, systems are getting stronger. Not just in name, but by the numbers. Building block assessments, which track systems strength over time, show average district-level scores climbing steadily over the past five years. It’s measurable evidence that sustained, patient system-building pays off.

Rwanda’s Ngoma district shows what that looks like on the ground. Years of joint work, strengthening local WASH governance structures, resulted in a district plan to develop and manage infrastructure for the long term. As part of the plan, the district developed a new extension to the water supply network, reaching 30,000 people.
